ESHA Description Table

The following nutrients are required for the correct calculation for the Nutrient Fact Label (prior to FoodPro Release 3.0): calories, total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, sodium, total carbohydrate, dietary fiber, sugars, protein, vitamin A (IU), vitamin C, calcium, and iron.

FoodPro Release 3.0 introduced the updated Nutrient Facts Label using the updated guidelines.  The required nutrients for the updated guidelines are: calories, total fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, sodium, total carbohydrate, dietary fiber, total sugars, added sugars, protein, vitamin D (mcg), calcium, iron, and potassium.

ESHA Recommends using Dietary Fiber (2016) [nutrient number 208] as opposed to Dietary Fiber [nutrient number 3] due to the 2016 definition change for Dietary Fiber.

If other vitamins or minerals are added to the food, they also must be declared.
