Weekly Waste Tracking Summary

The Weekly Waste Tracking Summary is generated on a weekly basis (or summarized for multiple weeks in consolidated mode) with the Location Cost Summary and Inventory Analysis.

 

The report provides a summary of the Waste Value by category (Food and Non-Food) along with a calculation for % of Cost.  Food and Non-Food subtotals are displayed as well as the overall Total for the report.

 

This report presents the summary of data entered using the Waste Tracking Entry program and provides the locations (and operation as a whole) with information regarding the value of the product that was "wasted" during the time period.

 

 

The Weekly Waste Tracking Summary report displays the value of all of the waste recorded for the past week (or consolidated weeks) on a per cost category basis (for unprocessed inventory items).  The waste displayed within the Prepared Products category will include processed inventory items and recipes.

 

Columns:

Category - Displays the category for the items that had entries recorded during the time period

 

Value of Waste - The dollar value of the waste for the specific category.  The values reflect the value of the inventory (or prepared product) at the time the item was recorded in the Waste Tracking Entry program.  

 

Period Actual Cost - displays the value for the category from the Location Cost Summary

 

% of Cost - The % of Cost is equal to the Value of Waste divided by the Period Actual Cost

Rows:

Total Food Cost - Provides a subtotal of the Value of Waste, Period Actual Cost, and % of Cost for Food items

 

Total Non-Food Cost - Provides a subtotal of the Value of Waste, Period Actual Cost, and % of Cost for Non-Food items

 

Total Cost - Provides totals for the Value of Waste, Period Actual Cost, and % of Cost for all items
