Open a recipe and View Available Numbers

This utility is a great tool to help users identify the numbers that are available within the database as well as identifying numbering patterns for recipes (having all cakes within a specific range of numbers)

Click the button to open the following utility:

This utility is used not only to open a recipe, but it also allows the user to locate available numbers near an existing recipe or within a range of specific recipe numbers.

The user must first determine the basic criteria for the search by selecting an option from the Options Menu:

The choices are:

View All Numbers – Selecting this option will show a complete list of numbers (both available and used)

View Existing Recipes – Selecting this option will show only the numbers in use by recipes.

View Available Numbers – Selecting this option will only show available numbers and hide any in use by recipes.

After making the View Selection, users can now either “Locate” a specific number or define a range of numbers (using the Select button).

“Locate” allows the user to identify a single number and then the utility will display a range of 100 numbers both before and after the specified number.

“Select” allows the user define a range of numbers to be reviewed.

In either case once the recipe number criteria is defined, the results window will display the appropriate criteria as based on the View Selection.  For example, if a user selects “View Existing Recipes” and then specifies a range of numbers (150000 – 160000) then only existing recipes that fit within that number range will be displayed.

Scroll down the list of recipe numbers and click the recipe you wish to open.  Alternatively, click the Find button to invoke an alpha search by recipe name.  Recipes can also be opened by entering the recipe number in the recipe number field (cursor default).
